Stolen Pills from Scottsville Pharmacy Lead to Prescription Drug Bust

By Melissa Warren |

A drug bust in Scottsville leads to the recovery of more than 1700 hydrocodone pills from four people.

Search warrants executed against 46 year old Lynn Denton, 34 year old Katherine Rookstool, and 47 year old Jeffrey Stinson, led to their arrests, along with 22 year old Cody Higdon of Scottsville last night.

Authorities say the arrests are a major step in a five month-long investigation involving several agencies.

"This was not only the drug task force, but the officers and deputies of both the Allen county Sheriff's Department, and the Scottsville Police Department were involved in it, and also one of the constables," said Scottsville Police Chief Don Rutherford.

Lynn Denton was an employee of Stovall Prescriptions in Scottsville where police say the pills were stolen from. More arrests are expected in relation to this investigation.
