Red Cross Elementary says that one of their teachers was made aware of an unsubstantiated threat Tuesday night. The school launched a thorough investigation, involving the local sheriff’s department, police department, and Kentucky State Police. At this point the school say sit can find absolutely no merit or validity to the threat. The school says it has always been their policy that they will take no situation lightly and the safety of their students is their number one priority. Local law enforcement will be on site all day Wednesday as well as representatives from the district office. With precautions in place, the school says it feels that the children are safe at Red Cross. Further announcements as information becomes available are expected.
