A heartfelt reunion took place in Bowling Green Sunday.
Former heart patients and their doctors got together at the Knights of Columbus Hall to celebrate their success in fighting heart disease.
The reunion was put together by the Heart Institute at the Medical Center.
A former heart patient who underwent an aortic valve replacement 10 years ago is thankful for his doctor.
"He took the time to operate on me and he fixed it, very, very good, i haven't had a single ache or pain from it since that time," says Tony Meffer, a former heart patient.
"Getting to see the doctors, getting to see the patients, and see how they've come through a procedure, it makes it a nice celebration," added Don Johnson, a cardiac nurse liaison.
The reunion has been going on for the last twenty years.
