Ricky Skaggs Talks to Fans About His New Autobiography

By  |

Tonight, a bluegrass and country music legend was in Bowling Green.

Ricky Skaggs was at the Sloan Convention Center talking with fans about his new autobiography, Kentucky Traveler: My life in music. The 14 time Grammy award winning artist took the time to talk to many of his fans. He spoke about his mentor bluegrass legend, Bill Monroe, who Skaggs met when he was six years old.

"I fell in love with his music, and the passion he had for his music, but I fell in love with him because he was such a giving person. To let a little six year old kid get up and sing that he had never met before, never auditioned, and never heard, to let him get up on the stage and play with his band is just unheard of," said Country Music Artist and Bluegrass Legend Ricky Skaggs.

Skaggs went on to answer questions about his life, music, and faith. Later, he had a book signing for his autobiography.
