Rockfield Elementary Students Honor President's Day

"It's the road map that leads up to the future.  If we don't learn from our mistakes from the past we are doomed to fail again in the future," said Larry Elliott, Abe Lincoln Impersonator.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- In honor of President's Day, Rockfield Elementary invited two visitors to teach students U.S. history.

Abraham Lincoln and his wife traveled from Louisville this morning to tell the story of Abe Lincoln's life. The sixteenth President and First Lady were impersonated by Larry Elliott and Mary Elliott.

The real-life married couple have been traveling to classrooms for ten years. They are teaching students the importance of our country's history.

"It's the road map that leads up to the future. If we don't learn from our mistakes from the past we are doomed to fail again in the future," said Larry Elliott, Abe Lincoln Impersonator.

Students were able to interact with the actors and ask questions about "Honest Abe" and his career.
