Runway Paving Shuts Down Resort Airstrip at Lake Barkley

A runway paving project has closed the Lake Barkley State Resort Airport until at least mid-December.

The Paducah Sun reported the airstrip was closed Monday as a resurfacing project began.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the work might be delayed by weather conditions, but is tentatively scheduled to be completed before Christmas.
