BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- People were making a splash Saturday in Bowling Green.
They were going down water slides, jumping in from the diving boards or just relaxing by the pools during the opening day for the season at Russell Sims Aquatic Center.
The water park was planning to open last weekend, but the opening was delayed due to weather.
That's why those who work at the park say the crowds were huge this Saturday.
"It's a really great turnout. I'm really glad that we had a lot of people come out and swim with us. We've had a lot of calls. So, I think between Sunday and then Monday being Memorial Day, we'll be really packed," said Whitney Brown, who works at the park.
The park is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 to 6:30 and Sunday from 1:00 to 6:30.
It's eight dollars for those over 16 to get in and those 15 and under get in for five dollars.
