SUV Crashes Into Motorcycle, Killing Two Passengers In Hopkins County

UPDATE: Police say the accident Wednesday on Interstate 69 near Dawson Springs killed 65-year-old Edsel R. Zint and his wife, 64-year-old Kathryn L. Zint, of Evansville, Ind.

Two people are dead after an SUV crashed into a motorcycle.

It happened Wednesday, at about 1:15 on I-69 in Hopkins county.

Kentucky State Police say, 34-year-old Mary Moore, of Louisville was driving an Isuzu Rodeo SUV going northbound.

She ran off the left shoulder of the road, over corrected and lost control of the vehicle.

It turned sideways, hit the median and became airborne before crashing into a motorcycle going south.

Two people were riding the motorcycle, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both victims were wearing helmets.

Their names are not being released at this time.

Moore and her husband, 41-year-old Keith Moore, who was a passenger in the car, are currently in the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

At about 6 Wednesday evening both southbound lanes of I-69 were closed from the Pennyrile Parkway to exit 24.
