SCOTTSVILLE, Ky (WBKO) -- Two weeks after he was arrested on statutory rape charges, a Scottsville pastor is arrested again.
Gallatin, Tennessee police say they arrested Scottsville pastor, Roy Neal Yoakem, on Monday, July 7, for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old member of his church congregation.
Yoakem was a pastor at the New Gospel Outreach Church in Allen County.
Police say Yoakem assaulted the victim on two separate occasions; once at his church and once at his Gallatin home.
Previously jailed in Kentucky, Yoakem was extradited to Sumner County, Tennessee on Monday.
Yoakem is registered as a violent sex offender in Tennessee for a conviction in 2005, stemming from the abuse of an 8-year-old boy.
Police have charged him with aggravated statutory rape, sexual battery by an authority figure, statutory rape by an authority figure, and fugitive from justice.
Officials say additional charges are pending.
