Second Chance for American Idol Participant

Posted: Fri 2:30 PM, Aug 17, 2012

It was about second chances for some today at the American Idol auditions at Fountain Square Park in Bowling Green.

Morgan James made it to the celebrity judge round in St. Louis on season 11 of American Idol.

He was approved by Stephen Tyler, but J.Lo and Randy said he needed to keep working and try again.

Today, he did just that when he drove from his hometown, Louisville, to give it another try.

"So after that experience I really grew. I became comfortable... became more confident in myself as an artist and musician, and as a writer. I was able to really find myself in what I do, and realized why I'm supposed to do what I do."

James says it's not about fame or money, but about connecting to other people through music, that fuels his passion.

He now has a second chance at his dream to become the next
idol, as he continues on to the next round.
