BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- One of Bowling Green's busiest roads is going to be the subject of possible traffic delays near the campus of WKU starting tomorrow.
From six a.m. to six p.m. the intersection of 31W at University Boulevard and Loving Way will be closed for utility work related to the roundabout project.
Also, starting at three a.m., University Boulevard from Craig Street to Nashville Road will be closed until six p.m.
Emmett Avenue and Chestnut Street will be used as detours.
This is just the start of other similar closings due to the roundabout project.
"Utility work has definitely picked up there in the last couple of months, and it will continue through the projects completion. We're not scheduled to start the actual construction of the project until hopefully late May," said Wes Watt, the public information officer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3.
Next Sunday, April 13th, there will also be periodic closures of that same intersection between those times.
