Shepherdsville Fire Truck Flips, 3 Injured

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Officials are investigating what caused a fire truck from the Shepherdsville Fire Department to overturn near Interstate 65 and injure three firefighters.

Fire Department Lt. Col. Terry Whittaker told The Courier-Journal the truck overturned Monday afternoon in Bullitt County with one firefighter being transported to University Hospital in Louisville with non-life threatening injuries.

Two other firefighters were transported to University Hospital as a precaution by Shepherdsville Fire Chief Layne Troutman.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Shepherdsville Police Department.
