These days the rough economy has made it hard for many people to smile.

That rings especially true for those with toothaches and without dental insurance.

"I'm having a pretty good time!," says Lisa Barrow.

Most people arn't usually that excited to go the dentist.

But today the Chandler Park Dentist's office is pretty popular.

"...been waiting since 6 am, so five hours?," says Barrow.

William Vogel has been looking forward to the "Smiles From The Heart," event.

"My teeth have been in terrible pain," says Vogel.

Vogel says he was terribly addicted to methamphetamine for two straight years, but he says he's been clean for more than eight years now.

After cleaning up from that meth addiction, Vogels's teeth were left rotted, and without dental insurance he needed help.

That's where "Smiles From The Heart," comes in.

"We didn't realize how many people didn't have the means to get these basic things done."

Eleven dentists from all over the country and more than fifty volunteers are helping clean, fill and abstract teeth for free.

"It was swollen out to here," says Monty Lindsey, whose job didn't help provide dental care.

The help means a lot for those like Monty Lindsey, who just had a tooth yanked out.

"I had to take a day off from work, but it feels so much better," says Lindsey.

"I think you can ask any of them its been pretty rewarding so far," says Dr Jackson.

Chandler Dental Care plans on providing the free help again next year.
