Soldiers Deliver Toys to Children's Hospital

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- More than a dozen men and women in uniform walked from Fort Knox to Korsair Children's Hosptial to deliver toys.

It took two days to make the 31-mile trek.

Sgt. Jared Ryan is from the Headquarters Company and Charlie Company. He called experience of delivering toys to sick and injured children on Sunday "wonderful" and "a great experience."

The troops are part of the Fort Knox Warrior Transition Battalion.

The soldiers said they participated in Warrior Walk: Operation "Carry On" just to show that they care.
