LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- It was a very good year for University of Louisville athletics, and Maker's Mark is commemorating it by donating 500 specially designed bottles to be sold to benefit an academic center at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
The bottle recognizes Louisville football's Sugar Bowl victory, the baseball team reaching the College World Series, the women's basketball team advancing to the national championship game and the men's basketball team winning the NCAA championship.
The bottles are being sold for $2,000 each starting at 9 a.m. EST Thursday, first to Cardinal Athletic Fund members. Any remaining bottles will be available for non-members starting Friday. The bottles are available by calling (502) 852-8460 and won't be available in stores.
The Academic Center of Excellence is to be located under the Norton Terrace at the south end of the stadium.
