The Warren County Circuit Clerk has appointed a Special Judge to oversee the recent civil case filed by Bowling Green parents against Warren County Schools.

The Allen/Simpson Circuit Judge Janet Crocker will preside in the case to ensure impartiality.

Bowling Green attorney Alan Simpson filed the original suit on June 4 requesting a jury to enforce the terms of a 2001 contract between the Warren County and Bowling Green Schools superintendents.

The agreement includes the number of students living in the county allowed to attend city schools.

On June 19, Simpson filed an amended civil suit requesting almost $4,000 in damages to cover the tuition the city schools now requires his clients to pay.
