Students Reflect on Time at WKU During Graduation Ceremony

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Saturday was a big day to celebrate for WKU students and their friends and family.

More than 1,500 undergraduates graduated at Diddle Arena during three commencement ceremonies held throughout the day.

Each smiled walking out, as they realized it was the moment they were about to transition from student to college graduate.

"The classes I've taken, the teachers I've had, have really made me feel prepared. The people I've met have just been wonderful. All my friends are great and it's great to have them here today," said Megan Fields.

"It's a bittersweet moment. The past four years of my life have been probably the most amazing. So I'm sad to see it end, but I'm kind of happy to be over all the stress," said Cari O'Dell.

The students said they feel optimistic about what's next for them as graduates.
