SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- Superintendent of Simpson County Schools Dr. Jim Flynn has been elected President of the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents.
Dr. Flynn says he will now have the duty of helping superintendents across Kentucky lead and transform the school system, so every student is prepared for college and future careers.
He hopes to unify school leaders to help area students reach their goals.
"One of our biggest challenges right now is rising expectations and diminishing resources, and the budget situation is really important and we need to make that investment in our children to help them meet these expectations that we have for them," says Dr. Flynn.
Dr. Flynn is finishing his 10th year as superintendent for Simpson County Schools and says he is honored to be involved in the education of the entire state.
