BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Organizers of the 2014 Sweetheart Soiree spent their day making last minute preparations.
The annual event will be this evening. Sweethearts will have a chance to eat dinner, enjoy a local band, dance, and bet on a silent auction.
The proceeds of the event will help WKU's Symphony.
"We support students at the University for scholarships. We also support public school education, we have a large public school string population in the Warren County, Bowling Green City Schools, and Barren County. Right now we are numbering just over 700 string students from those schools that we actually started a number of years ago. So we also help fund those," said Bill Scott the Baker Professor of Music at WKU.
This years Soiree is a full house. It starts at six at the Augenstein Alumni Center and will continue until the last guest leaves.
