UPDATED 9:09PM -- This year's WKU Symphony Sweetheart Soiree will take place on Feb. 14. With a black tie optional dinner, drinks and dancing to performances by the Pauli Quintet and Match Daddy, organizers say it's the perfect Valentines date. Ticket proceeds will benefit the WKU Symphony and local programs they support.
"The proceeds from the soiree benefit the symphony at WKU and all of our education efforts... outreach to the area public schools strings program, where recently we provided a whole lot of instruments to Lost River Elementary and some other elementariness," said WKU Symphony Executive Director Jennifer Bryant.
Bryant says in addition to all the entertainment the soiree will provide, the symphony will also unveil it's upcoming "parties of note," which provide more opportunities to celebrate and support the program throughout the year.
