Taste of Bowling Green Benefits Chronically Ill Children

By  |

Local food, drinks and entertainment were on hand tonight at the Taste of Bowling Green.

The event raises money for the Dream Factory.
The program began in Hopkinsville, and grants dreams to chronically ill children age 3 to 18 in our area.

"Some of them swimming with the dolphins...some of them seeing sports figures... country music artists. One individual who was visually impaired went to see Garth Brooks and he was in the audience and Garth brought him up on stage to make sure he could see better and he said no, you're going to stay on stage with me," said Dream Factory of Bowling Green founding member Nick Wilkins.

Wilkins says about 700 people attended, and hopes the event will raise as much as $10,000 for the Dream Factory, enough to fund 4 to 8 dreams.
