BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A central Kentucky teenager has died after a car struck the motorcycle he was riding on.
Beattyville police say 15-year-old Jordan Flinchum of Beattyville pulled into the path of a vehicle on Kentucky 11 on Friday afternoon.
Police say the car, driven by 27-year-old Luke Phillips, struck the motorcycle. Phillips and other passengers of the motor vehicle received minor injuries and did not require any treatment.
Flinchum was treated by Lee County EMS and was airlifted from the scene.
State Police say Flinchum died at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center as a result of his injuries. Flinchum was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
