Tennessee Teacher's Facebook Lesson Goes Viral


Julie Culp posted a picture of her self on Facebook holding a sign explaining the lesson and asking people to "like" it if they saw the picture. Within the first 24 hours it had more than 7-hundred likes, but after that it exploded - ending up with more than 3 and half million likes.

HENDERSONVILLE, Tn. (WBKO) -- An elementary school teacher in Hendersonville, Tennessee wanted to show her students how quickly a picture can spread on the internet. Imagine her surprise when that picture went viral.

Julie Culp posted a picture of her self on Facebook holding a sign explaining the lesson and asking people to "like" it if they saw the picture. Within the first 24 hours it had more than 7-hundred likes, but after that it exploded - ending up with more than 3 and half million likes.

It also moved to other social networks like Twitter and Reddit, even making news in a German newspaper.

The students in her class say they definitely got the message from the lesson and that they will be careful what they post.
