The Clothesline Project

Students who have been victims of sexual assault displayed feelings and statistics on t-shirts outside the Downing University Center Tuesday afternoon.

Though their experiences may be tough to talk about, they say the artistic expression is a good reminder.

"The old adage about dirty laundry. We don't want to air our dirty laundry, we want to keep it behind closed doors. Well we don't. We want to talk about it. We want to put it out there for people to see. If we put it out there for people to see we realize we know and we recognize that this stuff goes on. We can't just hide our faces we can't just ignore it." said Elizabeth Madariaga.

Events on WKU's campus will continue throughout the week, culminating with the "Take Back the Night" march on March 28.
