The Medical Center is set to expand its Diagnostic Imaging Department by taking over Western Kentucky Diagnostic Imaging.
The new merger will improve outpatient imaging services for those at The Medical Center.
Hospital officials say patients who went to WKDI for services such as MRI's, X-Rays, and ultrasounds will still receive the same care.]
"Western Kentucky Diagnostic Imaging has a long history of providing outstanding outpatient imaging services to their patients. They have done so in a very caring, effective, and efficient manner so our goal at The Medical Center is to continue the same level of service they have provided," says Director of Radiological Services Eddie Scott.
The Medical Center plans to complete the change over by October 1.
