BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Transpark Center of South Central Kentucky Community and Technical College offered some hands on learning for area High Schools today.
Students interested in learning about machining got to tour the Transpark and see first hand what the machines can do and what SKYCTC can offer when they graduate High School.
Instructors in machining say they believe hands on learning is an effective tool.
"We actually run the equipment, we make parts. Students can see what the equipment can do instead of sitting in a classroom and delivering a presentation," said Mike Greer a Computerized Manufacturing and Machining Instructor at SKYCTC.
Also available to the students today were local industry leaders to talk about their everyday experience working in machining.
