MAYFIELD, Ky. (AP) -- Thieves in western Kentucky didn't have any trouble starting up a couple of semis and other large trucks that had keys left in them -- but driving them turned out to be a different matter.
Kentucky State Police told WPSD-TV (http://bit.ly/QrUWh5) that the vehicles were taken from Crop Production Services in Graves County on Tuesday night and were found either wrecked or abandoned in different areas of town on Wednesday morning.
Police say the thieves didn't leave everything behind though. The company is still missing a white Ford F-250 pickup truck.
The incident is under investigation, but police haven't made any arrests.
The company told the station that it would be locking up keys from now on, as well as putting up a gate and adding surveillance cameras.
