HODGENVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is temporarily closing some trails, so hazardous trees can be removed.
A statement says trails in the picnic area of Lincoln's birthplace will be closed Wednesday through Saturday. Park Superintendent Bill Justice says while the trails are popular, the safety of visitors and employees comes first.
He says the picnic area of the park will remain open, but the pavilion would be closed.
