A lawsuit has been filed against CSX transportation, two other railroad companies and a clean up company for the October 29th train derailment in West Point.
The suit was filed Tuesday by four residents whose lives were disrupted by the incident.
The suit asks for damages and expenses for residents evacuated from West Point and the surrounding areas.
It also says the chemicals released during the incident were ultra hazardous and posed health threats to resident's respiratory and reproductive systems.
13 train cars were carrying toxic chemicals along Dixie Highway when it derailed.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has reopened all lanes of the highway at the site where a train derailed.
