LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Sheriff's deputies in Scott County are looking for a woman who fled after her SUV was struck by a train.
Deputy Robert Tackett told WLEX-TV (http://bit.ly/NE7sNh ) in Lexington that the driver was apparently not injured in the incident Wednesday afternoon.
The woman stopped too close to the tracks along Paynes Depot Road and a passing train clipped her sport utility vehicle.
Witnesses told investigators the woman jumped out of the SUV and ran, getting into a car with another person, who then drove her away.
In the long traffic backup that resulted, another driver hit the accelerator instead of the brakes and his car struck a grocery store. There were no injuries.
Deputies say the SUV driver could face charges when she is located.
