BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital has been named as the 2013 PRC Top Performer Hospital in Hospitalist Services for Medical Staff Perception. The 2013 PRC Excellence in Healthcare awards is sponsored by Professional Research Consultants Inc. PRC is a nationally known health care marketing research company headquartered in Omaha, Neb.
TriStar Greenview’s Hospitalist program was presented PRC’s highest honor, the crystal “Overall Top Performer Award.” The award is given annually to each health care facility scoring at or above the 100th percentile for the Overall Quality of Care in PRC’s national client database for the prior calendar year. This is from among 438 facilities across the country, based on physician perception. TriStar Greenview’s Hospitalists previously won top honors in 2010.
The research is conducted to obtain the opinions of the physicians at TriStar Greenview via telephone for a confidential interview to assess their perceptions of hospitalist services. The research findings are then presented to the hospital or health facility to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of patient and physician satisfaction.
“We are so proud of TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital and are thrilled to present them with this National Excellence in Healthcare Award,” said Joe M. Inguanzo, president and CEO of Professional Research Consultants, in a news release. “This award is proof that TriStar Greenview is committed to improving health care. It takes years of dedication, determination and hard work to achieve this level of success. Congratulations to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital and its staff for improving health care services for southern Kentucky.”
TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital has three hospitalists on its staff. Hospitalists are contracted physicians whose job is to work solely with patients who have been admitted to the hospital. A hospitalist is a highly qualified physician who specializes in the full-time care of hospitalized patients.
