Two Barren County Home Invasions are Under Investigation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- Police were dispatched to 115 C Olivia Drive, Thursday afternoon around four o'clock. Police responded to reports of a home invasion and assault.

Police say victim, Brandon Harper, was inside of the home during the break in.

"Brandon Harper was air lifted to a hospital in Louisville, for injuries sustained in that assault and invasion," said Julie Anna Williams, Glasgow Police Public Information Officer.

Harper's mother tells us her son is currently in ICU at University of Louisville hospital and has been diagnosed with severe brain trauma.

One of Brandon's neighbors say this unfortunate situation definitely raises some red flags.

"It kind of startles me because I have three young kids, ranging from ages ten to two. For something like that to happen this close to my house, that is kind of disturbing. So, now I have to worry about my wife while I'm gone and stuff like that," said Joshua Gonzalez, neighbor.

This is still an ongoing investigation led by Glasgow’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Police have not released further details of this case and continue to seek information from neighbors and potential witnesses.

A similar situation took place on Whitney Wood Road. Police say, a man was robbed, his arms were tied behind his back, and he suffered sever trauma to his head. Police have not identified any suspects and are not releasing the victim's name. Police say the victim was flown to the hospital.

Both cases are still under investigation.
