BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A two-car crash on Scottsville Road on Thursday afternoon sent both drivers to the hospital.

The Bowling Green Police Department says the accident happened just after noon near South Park Drive.

They say 26-year-old Keanan Stewart of Greenville was stopped in traffic when another driver hit the back of his black Toyota 4Runner -- causing it to flip.

Stewart was partially ejected through the sunroof.

One woman saw the crash happen and said she had never seen anything like it.

"I just took off running toward it, and I got on my hands and knees and got down in the car with the guy and I started talking to him. I asked him his name and how old he was and if he had kids. I told him just to stay with me. I was on the phone with 911, and I told him the ambulances and stuff would be here in a minute," said Ashley Johnson, who witnessed the accident.

Stewart was flown to a trauma center.

His condition is unknown at this time.

Police say 50-year-old Jonathan Thomas of Bowling Green was driving the other car -- a black FJ Cruiser.

His condition also is not known.

Police reconstructed the crash for an hour and a half. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
