BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) UPDATED 6:30 PM -- The Warren County Sheriff's Office saID around 5:30 Sunday morning 19 year old Daniel Napier was driving north on Scottsville Road in Warren County near Bowling Green, when his vehicle crossed multiple lanes leaving the road and hitting a utility pole. That pole then fell on two cars sitting in the Martin Auto Mart, causing serious damage.

Napier had to be flown to Vanderbilt Hospital from the scene while his passenger, 19 year old William Helson was taken to The Medical Center by ambulance.

Debris still lays all over the Martin Auto Mart property, showing the sheer force the car had when it left Scottsville Road and came onto the lot, knocking over a utility poll and a thick concrete slab, leaving a hole in the ground about one foot deep.

"They were blessed and God was watching over them that neither one of them was killed during this accident. If you look at the damage, it's a wonder that they survived it," said Martin Auto Mart Owner, Mike Martin.

According to police reports, Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia, including a bong, were found on the scene. Helson and Napier each admitted they had been taking the pills and smoking marijuana throughout the night. Their each facing criminal charges, and more could come soon.

"There will potentially be other charges once they're released," said Warren County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer, Stephen Harmon.

Currently, Napier is facing a DUI charge, while Helson faces a possession of a controlled substance charge.

Officials at the Vanderbilt Hospital said Napier is now listed in stable condition.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said Helson is listed in serious condition at The Medical Center.
