University of Louisville officials have finished moving 270 residents of a dormitory where elevated levels of mold were found and closed the building for the rest of semester.

Miller Hall was closed Oct. 14 for cleaning, and residents were moved to other university housing or properties, hotels or to family homes for some local residents.

University officials have been testing for mold in other residence halls and found the presence of some mold in Threlkeld, Wellness and West Halls. But officials say those issues can be addressed without relocating students.

A statement from the university says rooms with visible mold will be cleaned over the next few days, and students will not need to leave their rooms for the cleaning.
