LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- The University of Kentucky is ready for the next phase of its ambitious construction projects on the Lexington campus.

The state's flagship school is set to reveal architectural plans Friday for the expansion and renovation of its college of business and economics.

UK is in the midst of construction work totaling more than $500 million that's either under way or approved to start within the next year.

The projects also include new dorms and a new academic sciences building. Commonwealth Stadium also is in line for renovation.

The construction comes amid rising enrollment at UK.

UK President Eli Capilouto says the school still needs to upgrade other campus buildings that are "woefully out of date." He points to the law school as one example.
