A murder early this morning left a man dead.
Police are not releasing a lot of information, but they say the murder was not random.
"When police arrived they found a blood trail which led them to a man that was laying under a construction trailer just across the street here. He was deceased," says Bowling Green Police Public Information Officer, Ronnie Ward, "We notified all the detectives and when the detectives arrived on the scene, and officers began to secure the scene, we identified him as Terence Jones."
A gunshot wound was found on Jones' body, but police aren't releasing whether it was the cause of death.
Police were called to the Hands Club on Beech Street last night around 1 AM for a robbery.
When they arrived Jones' body was found about a block away from the warehouse on Church Street.
Jones was previously arrested in 2006 for trafficking cocaine.
Police say this isn't the first time they've had to patrol the area.
"It's event specific. If they are having a large crowd out here then we'll spend some time down here just to make sure that traffic is flowing good and that every one is safe down here," Ward says.
Workers around the area, who chose not to comment, say Beech Street is often over-crowded with cars, because of parties at the warehouse, preventing them from getting in their parking lots.
Police say the neighborhood around the area does not have a lot of violence.
"The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The police don't spend much time down here," Ward says.
Police are still looking for clues that could lead them to any answers.
"The investigation is just continuing right now and we're just trying to find out who did this."
