ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky is appearing at a South Carolina Republican fundraiser sponsored by U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney.
The "Liberty BBQ" is being held Monday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Rock Hill. Flyers for the event say reservations are $25 per person, but a $1,000 sponsorship will get attendees a meal and photo time with the potential presidential hopeful.
Last year, Paul spoke at another summer BBQ fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan of South Carolina in Anderson.
Paul has made a foreign policy speech at The Citadel military college in Charleston and attended other small GOP fundraisers in this state expected to hold the first presidential primary in the South in 2016.
