LOUISVILLE, KY (AP) -- A committee of the University of Louisville board of trustees is recommending university president James Ramsey be given a 6 percent pay raise and a $150,000 bonus.
Ramsey's salary is currently $600,000. It comes from the university and the University of Louisville Foundation, the school's fundraising arm. Bonuses come from foundation funds, which are privately raised.
The Compensation Committee made the recommendation Thursday to the full board, which is expected to vote Friday. The foundation board meets July 25, and must approve its portion of the raise and the bonus.
Ramsey has previously donated bonuses to the university.
Ramsey's salary is currently $600,000.
