FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky's three state veterans centers and four veterans cemeteries are planning ceremonies in recognition of Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
A parade is set for Nov. 9 from Wilmore to the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center at the central Kentucky town. Resident veterans will be riding in Corvettes driven by members of the Bluegrass Corvette Club.
Veterans at the Paul Patton Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard will attend a dinner celebration at VFW Post 7387 on Nov. 9. On Veterans Day, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center will honor its veterans with the posting of the colors and a ceremony with a guest speaker.
At each cemetery ceremony, people attending can view profiles of veterans interred in each cemetery, including service information, photos and accomplishments.
