Hundreds of Topper fans traded St. Patrick's Day green for Western Kentucky red tonight.
Our cameras were at Diddle Arena as the men's basketball team was selected for the NCAA Tournament.
"I think it should be pretty much very clear to everyone that the road for the Sun Belt Conference Championship comes through Bowling Green, KY," says WKU Athletic Director Todd Stewart.
Now that road is taking the Sun Belt Conference champions to Kansas City, MO as they prepare to take on Kansas, leaving toppers fans optimistic.
"I think it's a pretty good match-up for the Hilltoppers. I think we can pull the upset. It's a great opportunity to make history and I think we are going to do it," says WKU fan Jon Warren.
"We are in a rebuilding year, our guys are young but that means they are going to be so much better, and they are still really really good right now," says WKU fan Stephen Korfhage.
The Toppers are going into the match-up as the underdog, but fans say it wouldn't be a surprise if they pulled off the upset.
"WKU is a great place for the upset. Anything can happen here on the hill and we proven that with the bowl and with two straight NCAA appearances. I think we can do it. I think we've got it," Warren says.
"I'm happy. I don't care who we are playing, we are going to beat them," Korfhage.
