In the hustle and bustle of getting settled on campus and buying books, WKU's Parking and Transportation office is offering temporary 30-minute passes to those who need to make quick stops to places like the bookstore.
The "old fort lot" near the Garrett Conference Center is one of those locations.
WKU will only be offering these special passes through Tuesday. As for the rest of the year, one senior has some insight on where and when to park on campus.
"Try to get familiar with, I'd say, how packed the garage gets at certain times of day. Alot of people here take classes early in the morning, so if you can schedule your classes for late in the afternoon, that's the best time to really park here in the garage."
Those students who have yet to purchase their parking permits, it's not too late. Parking and Transportation say you need to either pick up a permit at their office on 578 Campbell Lane. on WKU's South Campus, or you can visit their site at www.wku.edu/transportation where you can purchase your permit on-line.
