WKU Pep Rally Luncheon Benefits Junior Achievement

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. --Thursday's Chili and Cheese luncheon hosted by Junior Achievement served not only as a place to enjoy food, but also as a pep rally for the football team. Both Athletic Director Todd Stewart and Head Coach Bobby Petrino spoke to the crowd that packed First Christian Church.

"We had a record crowd, record attendance, and standing room only. Which is great for the football players, but also for Junior Achievement. The event helps us provide our programs to area schools." said President of Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky, Heather Rogers.

Several candidates for homecoming queen introduced themselves to the crowd. Players were also interviewed in front of the crowd, where they urged fans to pack the house for Saturday's game against Troy.
