Have you ever thought about what you can do with $100?
One WKU student was given a $100 from the "Hundred Dollar Solution" program.
With the money, she created her own charity called Highlighters, Notebooks, Backpacks, Oh my!
Her goal is to provide adult ESL students at the Bowling Green Technical College with the supplies they need to learn English.
With the money she was able to buy posters, and other supplies needed to get the donations she needs.
"I thought something just as small as getting them a backpack or a notebook for these students would mean so much, and these classes are really giving them skills that they can use in the workforce, because they want to be productive and they want get their driver's license and things like that," McKinze Vowel, creator of the charity, says.
If you would like the donate to McKinze's "Highlighters, Notebooks, and Backpacks, Oh My!" program. she will be set-up outside Wal-Mart on Campbell Lane tomorrow between 11 AM and 7 PM.
You can bring any new or gently used school supply.
