"Well we had a rough year, but came through in the end," said WKU fan Jim Murphy.
The Hilltoppers are Sun Belt Conference champs, but a lot of fans didn't think that would be the case this year.
"No, in fact I scheduled a meeting tonight at 6 o'clock thinking they'd never make it. So, I hate to say it. A lot of times I go to the Sun Belt Conference tournament, and I didn't go this year," said WKU Fan Ernie Small.
One part of the Hilltoppers team that everyone has loved is Ray Harper.
"He goes out and tries to do the best that he can with our team and he's very enthusiastic, he loves Western. That's the main thing he loves Western, and he loves his job," said WKU Fan Marcia Gilliam.
And with Harper at the helm fans are looking forward to the future of WKU basketball.
"I think that for those of us that can be patient, this is going to be an incredible team in a few years. You know, good coach, these kids are great, they're showing it this weekend. I wish we were all down there," said Small.
So the Tops locked up a bid to the NCAA tournament and some have high predictions.
"Whoa. We'll win at least two," said Murphy.
"I really root for the home team. We live in Warren County. We're from western Kentucky. Go toppers, that's what we're about," said Small.
And with the that the Tops are dancing.
WKU will find out how they're seeded, whom they'll play, and where they will play in the tournament next Sunday on the NCAA selection show.
