Stewart and Amanda Lich and their family are a family that gets along almost all of the time except for when the Hilltoppers are playing the Wildcats.
On Thursday night, the stage was set with two teams, one goal to win, and fans that don't agree all under the same roof.
It's a house divided and before the game, everyone was confident in their team.
"Of course I'm a Hilltopper at heart, we look forward to taking the kitties on, so it should be fun," said WKU fan Amanda Lich.
"I don't know if I would be ok with whoever won, but we both have ties to each school, so it's not all bad blood," said UK fan Stewart Lich.
Both Stewart and Amanda went to WKU and the University of Kentucky, but clearly have different allegiances.
Even their three kids are divided with two for the Cats and one for the Tops.
"Kentucky is more awesome than WKU," said their son, UK fan, Cam Lich.
As the game went on, Kentucky separated itself from the Hilltoppers, but even at the half, with the Tops down, everyone remained confident.
"We've got a whole half to come back 20 points. We had five minutes to comeback 16, and that wasn't a problem. This is the dream team. This is when it's going to happen this year. A 16 seed is going to beat a number one seed, no doubt," said Amanda Lich.
"I don't know. We're looking pretty good. We're playing a solid basketball game. Terrence Jones is having a really good game. You've got your work cut out for you," said Stewart Lich.
However, the second half didn't provide a comeback for the Tops, so then the question became, will Stewart be sleeping on the couch?
"Haha. It's where he sleeps every night!" joked Amanda Lich.
"I think that the best part about having four teams from Kentucky in a tournament like this is, it has kids talking about college, and that's great for all of Kentucky," said Amanda Lich.
"We'll probably just let this one slide. I was hoping for a better game. I wished the Hilltoppers played a little better, made a more exciting game about it, but it was all fun," said Stewart Lich.
The Cats may have won tonight, but the Lich family will always wrestle when it comes to these two schools.
