WKU's Veterans Upward Bound Receives Grant

WKU's Veterans Upward Bound was selected as one of 51 schools in the country and the only in the state to receive funding from the US Department Of Education.

Wku will receive nearly 300,000 dollars for the first year of a five-year grant.

The program helps military veterans gain skills and knowledge to succeed in higher education.

The program started in 1992 at WKU and has helped more than 2400 student veterans.

In the 2011- 2012 school year, the program served 139 student veterans.
