Kentucky State Police are warning Adair County residents about a phone scam.

KSP says cell phone users are receiving phone calls from unidentified sources claiming to be Publisher's Clearing House.

They are telling people they will receive a prize of $1.1 million if they go to Walmart and purchase two Green Dot cards.

They are then told to meet in the parking lot to be taken to a bank by KSP to cash their check.

KSP says the calls are a scam.
