BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- Police say, 27 year old, Tavous Clayton was stabbed fourteen times in a parking lot on East 2nd Avenue, in Bowling Green.
Tavous Clayton says he was hanging out with friends in a parking lot early Sunday morning. Neighbors say there is an after hours night club that is attracting crowds to stick around all hours of the night. This night club does not have a name on the outside of the building. When passing by, you would never know it is an active business.
Clayton told police that a black male began punching him unexpectedly outside of the building.
"(Police) located a large amount of blood in the parking lot of the five hundred block," said Ronnie Ward, Bowling Green Police Public Information Officer.
A witness who told police she has a child with Clayton, says two additional females joined the fight. Clayton says one of the females began stabbing him in the back with a sharp object. Police have issued a warrant for the suspect's arrest.
"Through investigation, we have determined that Alisha Shields is the person that stabbed the suspect.,” said Ronnie Ward, Bowling Green Police Public Information Officer.
Police are not aware of Shields' whereabouts, but do know she is a Bowling Green resident.
"At this point in the investigation, we don't really have a motive for the stabbing," said Ronnie Ward, Bowling Green Police Public Information Officer.
According to the police report, Clayton says he left the parking lot in a white van. Detectives met up with him at the Bowling Green Medical Center. He was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital and is being treated for severe injuries.
