WARREN CO., Ky. (WBKO) -- Warren County Attorney Amy Milliken has received quite an honor.
She was sworn in before the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this week.
That means Milliken can now present cases before the High Court.
She is one of just 11 attorneys who were sworn in Wednesday and the only one from Kentucky.
Milliken said the experience was "amazing" -- especially getting to sit beside Justice Sandra Day O'Conner, who is one of her heroes.
"Well very few people are sworn in to be able to practice in front of the Supreme Court, so it was truly my honor to be able to represent Bowling Green and Warren County and also my law school at Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase, and Western Kentucky University," she said. "I'm a huge Hilltopper fan and wanted that red towel up there, and that's why I took a picture, because I want Western represented at the Supreme Court."
Milliken said she is ready to go to the Supreme Court to argue a case if issues requiring that were to arise.
